It had been too long since Prussia had seen any sign of salvation or freedom. The man sat down on a grey rock in the bustling courtyard, ignoring the many glares from the guards that were specifically aimed at him. He had had enough of all this, he couldn't take it anymore. Yes, he had grown stronger through the Devil Island's torturous exercises, but for once he didn't want strength. He didn't want a will of steel, or the ability to overpower those around him. He just wanted her. He wanted his (Y/Name), nothing else.
Recently the guards had been paying extra attention to the Prussian, and he had seen this. For some reason they pushed him harder, brought him back to the 'cage' earlier than usual and kept him away from the others who were doomed to work on the island, perhaps for eternity. Who knew how long they would be here.
Gilbert sighed as he ignored the beating rain on his back and head. But then, understanding. The same thing happened to that other Nation that left the island. No. He... Was... Could it be? Could he be a nation again?! His head shot up as he rushed to his feet. He looked around at the guards around him. They were all focusing on him, he could partially taste the hate radiating from their glares. Prussia's eye twitched. He knew that even if he was a nation again, they wouldn't let him go, they thought that he didn't deserve the freedom.
A single, hoarse laugh echoed from the back of his throat. His body trembled as the guards started stepping towards him. No. He wasn't going back to that cage. With a rush of adrenaline he leapt from his spot and sprinted past the closest Guard, thundering into the building and up the stairs. There had to be a way out, there had to be.
He heard shouts behind him followed by heavy and rushed footsteps. The Prussian gulped, he knew they were on his tail and weren't about to give up until they had him. Gilbert ran up the winding stairs faster than he had ever before. He didn't know where he was going, but he didn't care. He had to find a way out. He new there was none at the bottom, maybe there was a mode of transport at the very top. He begged there was.
A gunshot behind him egged him on faster up the millions of stairs, his eyes wide. Since when did the guards have guns?! His breath came through in short pants as his body lacked oxygen. He looked up, ignoring the fact a bullet was implanted in the wall behind him. He smiled weakly when he saw the top of the building getting closer and closer.
Finally the man burst out onto the top floor, but struggled to keep his balance against the wind as he ran along the narrow path. Either side of him was a long way down, one to the ocean and the other to the courtyard. His red eyes scanned the rooftop and he skidded to a halt when he reached a dead end. His heart thumped in his chest, "Nein... I got this far..." He blinked as he murmured to himself. When he turned to look around he found the stairs blocked by the guards, each clone standing still and strong like a human brick wall.
Prussia gulped slightly before speaking, "I'm not going back..." He took a step back, "I can't! I'm a nation again!" He yelled at them. Of course he didn't know that he was a nation for sure. His chest rose and fell quicker than it had ever before as he stared at the Guards of the hell hole he had been a prisoner of for so long. He could practically feel his heart hammering against his chest as the clones laughed in sync at him.
"... I can't die..." Prussia murmured before something inside him snapped. And then, clarity. Determination. (Y/Name). "Look down.." he mumbled, before he suddenly span around and leapt from the safety of the wall, tumbling towards the mysterious and merciless ocean below with rapid speed.
Gilbert Beilschmidt hit the water with an unforgiving splash.

War Changes Everything - Prussia x reader: Part 2
If we don't end war, war will end us.
H. G. Wells
It was weird and stupid. That's all you had to say. Just because of this war the other countries were expulsed from your school; Arthur, Francis, Alfred, Yao and Ivan, which were your enemies, which were from the Allies side. Which were your FRIENDS. All of them were send to another country, who-knows-where. Ludwig, Feliciano, Kiku, Gilbert and other people from the axis side were still there, just like you and your best friend. Countries like Hungary and Spain have been allowed to stay. Though you didn't approved Elizabeta to be there, not because of some war motives, no, it was

Your chuckle echoed across the room, earning raised eyebrows from Antonio and Francis and a confused look from Gilbert. Feliks looked up from Gilbert and broke into a grin. Slowly, he handcuffed Gilbert to the bed and skipped merrily to you.
" Little sis! Like, how have you totally been? I just knew you totally wouldn't let me down, girl! " Feliks said, pulling you into a hug. You laughed and hugged him back.
" Long time no see, big bro! " You said, looking at him, your smile becoming wider.
" Let me get this straight, he's your brother... Your gay brother? " Antonio said, slowing walking up to the two of you. You nodded happily.
" Yeah,
